Coco Fibre  

Coco fibre is a popular material used in conservation projects and in making environmentally friendly products.Coco fibre is a renewable natural material extracted from coconut husk.Coconut husk is the outside layer of nut that surrounds the shell of the coconut.

Sensiv Coir Products are obtained from fresh green coconut is generally known as white fibre. It is finer than the brown fibre. Coir is a versatile natural fibre extracted from mesocarp tissue, or husk of the coconut fruit Generally fibre is of golden color when cleaned after removing from coconut husk; and hence the name " The Golden Fibre". Its stiff and durable fiber with excellent sweeping and scrubbing properties.

Coco fibre is extracted by soaking the husks in water for 6 weeks. This loosens out the fibre and makes extraction possible by mechanical means. Coco Husk Chips release water even as the chips dry out. Husk chip is an ideal for potting mixer to increase air fill porosity and water holding capacity. Coconuts husks which are being cut into 1/2 inch and 1 inch pieces are used for growing Orchids and other types of plants and are also in Horse stables. Our coco husk chips are also used as decorative around the gardens and so on.

The fibre forms 1/3 of the coconut husk or layer covering the coconut and the 2/3 by the coir pith or peat. The long strands of fibre that is golden brown or white in colour is extracted from the husk and sent for bale pressing for better handling and transportation. Coco fibre is used for many applications. Some of the widely used areas are in rope manufacturing, making yarns, aquarium filters, upholstery for automobiles flower pots, sound proofing, mulch for plant growing, heat insulation, brush industries, bristles, mattresses, door mats, matting industry, rugs, carpets and fishing nets since it has strong resilience to salt water.
